We wrote a course so strong it changed us both
Two hearts, two paths, two journeys ahead
When you write a course entitled ‘Return to Self’ it’s almost impossible not to journey the path too.
We have nurtured our messages for some time, those we believe in to our core:
Always colour outside the lines
Work hard and push your creativity
Believe in your story and tell it with your whole heart
Honour your journey, take the rest you need, make room to reflect and be open to change, it is inevitable
Over the past three years (and before individually) we have been encouraging others, guiding, mentoring and flag bearing. It’s been an amazing journey, we’ve built and run the atelier, created a glorious magazine to support it, we’ve developed Return to Self and created an outstanding publication first issue of Lanterns, our community annual.
One of the most challenging parts when building your dream as self-employed entrepreneurs, Mothers and wives is that in doing all the things it’s all too easy neglect parts of yourself and each other. Sadly a shift had to happen.
As we journey into 2023 Cindy and I are both returning to creative ventures which work with our own flow, enabling us to be our best selves professionally, creatively and personally.
Cindy is taking time for her creative heart, gently nurturing her vision and story. Her mentoring still an integral part of her work.
I am returning to my publishing journey - online at the moment with this awesome platform and to the printed page by the end of the year.
Here at ‘A Love Affair with Light’ is where you will find me and all I have to offer, please do tune in. It’s going to be wild, heartfelt and rewarding.
Thank you to everyone who has attended our courses and immersed themselves in the ways we believe you can bring your whole self to your work. This is by no means the end, we are simply growing from our respective pots. A natural progression for creatives.
