I would love to share a little more about how I ended up here, in this space, right now talking to you, amazing creative.

During my Masters of Photojournalism and Documentary photography back in Paris in 2010 we were taught to focus on the five Ws: what, where, who, why and when. So here we go….

What is ‘A Love Affair with Light’?

It’s my new space. It’s my dream of running a photography and art school in its bewitching beginnings. Starting with a simplified space pulling on all the things I’ve learnt, places I’ve been, felt and seen, people who have taught me, inspired and nurtured me, mistakes I’ve made as well as the ways I create and stay strong as an artist AND bringing them all to you.

I’ll be opening up my vibrant brain and inviting you along to create with me, I’ll be reading and writing ‘For the Love of the Photograph’ revisited, journaling the journey of an exciting new art space I’m curating, my adventures as a Nikon NZ Creator and my work as a creative warrior in a love affair with light.

Where to start?

My mind is awash, I’m allowing it to unfold. The first three months will be holding space for Personal Projects and how they have changed my creative life.

Who is this for?

You.

Whether you’re just dating photography, or maybe you’re still standing at the edge of the floor awaiting an invite… I’m putting my hand out, it’s time to dance.

Perhaps you’re deep in your love affair, maybe it’s racing fast and furious or you’ve recently hit a rocky patch. You might not even be a photographer at all, maybe an artist of a different genre or an appreciator of the dance we display.

It’s also for me. To calm my sharing and intensify it at the same time. I will be tethering my teaching, guidance, work and words to one place. A fluid living breathing space which ebbs and flows with my process.

Why am I here?

Truthfully, to support my family the very best way I can.

When will this be happening?

Right now. 100 posts in the first hundred days then twice a week for subscribers, every so often for those who would like to dip in for free.
